Life Coach Session: Never try to be nice to everyone all the time.

Life Coach Session: Never try to be nice to everyone all the time.

We have all heard the phrase “treat others how you want to be treated”, but sometimes it can be hard to live up to that ideal.

Being good to people all the time will not always get us what we want in life.

It is important to be kind and considerate of others, but we must also remember that our actions will often have consequences.

We may find ourselves in situations where being good does not always result in getting what we want.

Knowing when and how to adjust our approach can help us reach our goals while still being respectful of those around us.

For example, imagine you are trying to convince your friend to start going to the gym with you. You know how much she wants a new dress and how hard she’s been working on her diet. You offer to buy her a gym membership with your own money, but she refuses. In this case, buying the membership and using your pride in that accomplishment is not worth the conflict it will cause between you two. It simply is not worth it for you to lose a friendship over such an issue. If your friend does not want to change how she deals with food, it is best to respect that and not try to bring her into a new lifestyle. Instead, find a way for the two of you to still enjoy each other’s company despite the difference in dieting habits.

Being good to people is an important part of any relationship, but it doesn’t always guarantee success.

Sometimes, being too nice can be a disadvantage as it can make us vulnerable and taken advantage of.

It’s important to remember that relationships are about give and take and that it’s okay to set boundaries.

We should strive for balance in our relationships and not rely solely on being nice all the time.
