What does it mean if you see an eagle?

Eagles are one of the most powerful birds in the sky, with their regal heads, sharp beaks, and pensive eyes exuding a sense of majesty and power. As they soar overhead, they catch your attention, and it’s difficult not to stop and gaze when you see one. So, what does seeing an eagle imply? What is the spiritual significance of the symbolism?

The most obvious symbolism connected with the eagle relates to its obvious physical power. Strength, ferocity, focus, and willpower are all connected with eagles.

Eagles represent expansion, strength, a higher perspective, loyalty, victory, power, foresight, vision, and manifestation. Their dominant element of air draws your attention to mental pursuits, inspiration, dreams, and spiritual aspirations. They can show up when you have set your sights on a goal, aspiration, or challenge.

If an individual has been going through a hard time, an eagle not only signals a new beginning, but provides that person with the stamina and resilience to endure the difficulties. If an eagle has appeared, it bestows freedom and courage to look ahead. The eagle is symbolic of the importance of honesty and truthful principles. Summon the eagle when you are about to embark on a challenge, a massive life change or a creative endeavour.

Eagle people are seen as visionaries, those who are seekers and who are willing to push the limits of self-discovery and personal freedom. The eagle person is a born leader and may become impatient with those who cannot fly as high or as fast. Despite the fact that eagles with hold aloof or retreat to the skies, people will naturally gravitate to them.

The eagle is one of the most important animal emblems to many Native American tribes, despite the fact that they have many diverse traditions and beliefs. It is a symbol of power, knowledge, leadership, and courage in general. It’s also a very effective healer.

Because of its capacity to soar, the eagle is regarded to be near to the Creator and to serve as a messenger for the Creator.

The Cherokee believe that the eagle is a great emblem of war, and that one eagle’s feather is more powerful than a horse. Eagle feathers are holy to many tribes, and were commonly awarded to warriors who displayed courage and valor in battle.

To the Zuni, the eagle was the guardian of the sky, with the mountain lion, the badger, the wolf, the bear and the mole being the guardians of north, south, east, west and the Earth, respectively.

The Pueblo and Hopi people also believed the eagle was the guardian of the sky, and they performed an eagle dance to honour it. For the Pawnee, the eagle’s tendency to construct great nests meant they were seen as symbols of fertility.

Seeing an Eagle can be associated with rebirth, new beginnings, and the coming of spring. New beginnings, perseverance, and endurance for individuals who have been through difficult times can be symbolised by the image of an eagle.

If you see an eagle flying over your head, it’s a sign that you’re on the right track. The eagle is a symbol of strength and growth, and it calls attention to your willpower and commitment to your goals. Your progress and strength come from facing and conquering your obstacles. The eagle tells you of this.

Eagles instill a spirit of adventure and an eagerness to learn. Dreaming about an eagle in flight or one perched on a cliff indicates good fortune or success.
